How we work

We don't stage the day. We keep it.

Most of a wedding happens between the moments everyone plans for: a buckle that won't close, a speech read one more time in the corridor. We work quietly, in natural light, and ask for about ten minutes of posing all day.

  • Ten minutes of posing

One round of family groups and a short walk for portraits. The rest of the day is yours.

  • The people you met

Whoever you speak to on the first call is who turns up. We never send anyone in our place.

  • Edited by hand

Every photograph colour-corrected one by one, with skin kept like skin.

Work

Eight frames from last season.

No two days alike: a garden in early autumn, a long table under a timber roof, a field at the end of a drive. Every caption is the hour it was taken.

Film

Five minutes of film for a whole day.

Filmed alongside the photographs, with the same quiet approach. The film is cut around your vows and speeches, so it sounds like your day, not a music video.

Questions

Before you write.

How do we hold our date?

A short contract and a 30% deposit. The date is yours the moment both are in, and the balance is due four weeks before the wedding. Until then we hold it for 72 hours after you write.

Do you travel?

Yes. The first 50 km are included; beyond that it's €0.90 a kilometre there and back, plus a night's stay if the party ends late and far away. We'll add it to your quote.

How many photographs will we get?

Around 80 for each hour we're there, every one edited by hand. We leave out near-duplicates and closed eyes rather than padding the gallery.

What if it rains?

Some of our favourite days had rain. We bring clear umbrellas, look for cover at the venue beforehand and move the portraits to whenever the light is kindest.

Will you make us pose?

For about ten minutes: one round of family groups and a short walk together. The rest of the day we stay out of the way and photograph what happens.

What if the party runs late?

We'll stay. Extra time is €130 per half hour, or €210 with film, settled after the wedding.

A couple walking into a field at dusk, the bride's dress trailing through the grass, the moon low in the sky.

It only happens once. We'll keep all of it.
